The Raleigh Downtown Farmers Market opens from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 7 on Fayetteville Street with a pig pickin’ kickoff event.
(The market opening was delayed a week because of bad weather on April 30.)
The Pit BBQ will be selling $5 sandwiches. Kimbap and bu.ku restaurants also will be selling food. Crank Arm Brewing Co. will offer a beer tasting, and more than 30 vendors will be sellling fruits, vegetables, baked goods, pickles, poultry, meats, vegan and gluten-free products. The Outliers, a bluegrass and rock band, will perform.
