Cinco de Mayo celebrations across the Triangle

Cinco de Mayo is Monday and several Triangle restaurants are holding celebrations and offering specials.

Here are a few of them:

• Gonza Tacos y Tequila locations are usually closed Mondays but will be open this Monday starting at 4 p.m. The festivities at both the Raleigh and Wake Forest locations will include a live band, street performers and face painting for a very family-friendly event. • La Rancherita restaurants are offering drinks specials. The location at 2400 Hillsborough St. will have $5 jumbo classic margaritas and $3 Coronas or house tequila shots. The 7420 Six Forks Road location will have $5 classic margaritas, $2 off premium margaritas and $5 large draft beers. The 102 N. Salem St., Apex location will have $5 classic margaritas and large draft beers. • On the Border Mexican Grill & Cantinas in Cary and Raleigh are offering $3 drafts/bottles of Mexican beer, $5 specialty drinks, including the two created specifically for the holiday: an Angry Meltdown (Angry Orchard® Hard Cider blended with sweet & sour, topped with a shot of Fireball® Cinnamon Whisky on the rocks.) and Fruit CoronaRita™(a frozen fruit margarita infused with an ice cold Coronita®, available in Mango, Strawberry and Wildberry.)
