The owners of Kabab & Grill are targeting this weekend for the opening of their restaurant in the old Pizza Hut building that most recently was home to Atlas Mediterranean Cuisine, and before that, Unaabi Grill. Following on the heels of these short-lived restaurants with narrowly focused menus (Moroccan and Afghani, respectively), owner/chef Jehanzaib Malik and his partner, Mahboob Sayed, have opted to take a more broadly appealing approach.
In addition to the tandoori kebabs and other Indian and Pakistani dishes that Malik previously cooked at the now-shuttered King Kabob in Raleigh, the something-for-everyone menu will embrace everything from Chinese to fried chicken. A similarly eclectic sandwich offering will run the gamut from gyro to cheeseburger.
Kabab & Grill (914 Kildaire Farm Road, Cary; 919-651-9608; kababandgrill1.com) will serve lunch and dinner. Catering services will also be provided out of the kitchen, which will use zabiha halal meats. The restaurant will serve no alcohol.xx
