Cheese Festival in Durham

Cheese lovers will want to head over to Durham for the “Much Ado About Cheese” event from 1-4 p.m. Nov. 6. The event will feature samples of wine and cheese from local creameries and cheese shops. The festival will be at The Rickhouse at 609 Foster St. Tickets are for $10-$15 and available on eventbrite.com.

Stone Soup Supper

Urban Ministries of Wake County is hosting its annual Stone Soup Supper from 5:30-8:30 p.m. Nov. 16 at the McKimmon Center in Raleigh. Diners can sample soups made by a dozen or more local chefs and help chose the people’s choice winner. Local potters will have soup bowls for sale. Tickets cost $25 (includes pottery). The events will raise money to support Urban Ministries works to relieve the effects of poverty in Wake County.
