Raleigh cooking instructor Sharon Morf has a few upcoming classes:
Nov. 17: Homemade gifts from the Kitchen. Learn how to make homemade marshmallows with cocoa, grapefruit compote, herb scented oils, flavored nuts, compound butters, pesto, infused vinegars and salt rubs.
Dec 1: Holiday appetizers: Bang bang shrimp avocado toasts, Parmesan kale beignets, goat cheese-prosciutto asparagus wraps and churros with chocolate sauce.
Dec. 8: Holiday Dinner Party: beef wellington, scalloped potatoes, roasted green beans with oranges and brown butter apple tart.

Dec 15: Holiday Cookies: Brown butter salted chocolate chip cookies, rosemary-sugar cookies, linzer cookies, gingersnap cookies, hazelnut meringues, French chocolate macaroons, double chocolate chip mint cookies.
Dec 22: Candlelight Christmas Tea: assorted finger sandwiches, onion and sausage tart, rose petal scones, orange poppy seed scones and brown sugar cinnamon crisps.
The classes are 6-8 p.m., cost $45 per person and include a sit-down dinner, wine and class recipes. Morf holds the classes at her home at 1129 Rolling Farm Dr., Raleigh. To reserve a spot, call 919-523-1221.
Also worth noting, Morf offers a holiday cupcakes class for children from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Dec. 3. Cost: $40.
