Charlotte chef Jay Pierce will be speaking about his new cookbook, “Shrimp,” at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Raleigh’s Quail Ridge Books & Music.
Pierce is known locally as the former executive chef for Lucky 32 Southern Kitchen restaurants in Cary and Greensboro. But he recently left that position to work with the Rappahannock Oyster Co. to open Rock Salt in Charlotte.
Pierce has written one of the latest books in UNC Press’ Savor the South series. (Full disclosure: I wrote the Pickles & Preserves book in the same series.)
Pierce, aka @ChefRaconteur on Twitter, is always entertaining and I’m sure Tuesday’s book reading will be fun.
