Pop-up dinners at Raleigh chef Ashley Christensen’s new restaurant

Raleigh chef Ashley Christensen’s latest project, Death & Taxes and Bridge Club, are not open yet. But she has scheduled a series of pop-up dinners for next month in the new downtown Raleigh restaurant and event space featuring some big-name chefs from here and elsewhere in the Southeast.

First up on April 2 and 3 is Sean Brock of Husk in Charleston and Nashville, McCrady’s in Charleston, S.C. and Minero in Charleston, S.C.

There are seatings each night at 6 and 8 p.m. The event includes a champagne, cocktail and appetizer reception at Bridge Club on the second and third floors of the building at the corner of West Hargett and South Salisbury streets. The evening continues on the first floor, where Death & Taxes will be located, with a four-course dinner prepared by the guest chef; each course will include wine pairings.

Tickets are only being sold by the table in groups of 2 or 4; single diners will be seated at the kitchen bar. Single tickets cost $182, a table for two costs $363 and table for four costs $725. Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable. For tickets, go to http://goo.gl/V3gcXA.
