The dinner is from 5:30-8 p.m. at Mateo de Tapas, 109 W. Chapel Hill St. After dinner, the party moves to the nearby History Hub for a champagne toast and desserts by Lawless. (Both Kelly and Lawless were semifinalists for James Beard Foundation chef awards.) Attendees will get to see a preview of the museum’s newest exhibit: F is for Food.
The event will raised money that will directly support the ongoing Durham A to Z exhibitions.
The dinner costs $350, of which $300 is tax deductible, helps keep the museum free to the public.
