The women’s favorite variation of this drink is simply to pour all ingredients into an old-fashioned glass with ice, add 2 dashes of bitters, stir and garnish with lemon.
2 ounces gin, such as Uncle Val’s, Hendrick’s or Citadel
1 ounce orange-flavored liqueur, such as Cointreau
1 ounce fresh lemon juice
Maraschino cherry or lemon slice as garnish
Pour gin, liqueur and lemon juice into a cocktail shaker filled with ice cubes. Shake well. Strain into cocktail glass. Garnish with cherry or lemon slice if desired.
