A group of Triangle bakeries and coffee shops are banding together to do a fundraiser this Friday called Sweet Relief: Cookies for a Cause.
This Friday, the bakeries will donate 25 percent of cookie sales to Triangle Family Services, a nonprofit that provides support to local families in crises. Funds raised will used to purchase school supplies for the children of these families in need.
Each of the bakers will be making cookies inspired by treats from their own childhoods.
The participating restaurants and bakeries include Joule, lucettegrace, Boulted Bread, Escazu, Night Kitchen Bakehouse & Cafe, The Morning Times, all in Raleigh; La Farm Bakery in Cary; Guglhupf Bakery and Cafe, Loaf and Rose’s Meat Market & Sweet Shop, all in Durham.
