There is one other upcoming event at The Raleigh Wine Shop that should be mentioned: a pop-up dinner with barbecue pitmaster Ed Mitchell and winemaker Andre Mack.
Mitchell is a well-known eastern North Carolina pitmaster who until recently operated Ed Mitchell’s Que in Durham. Mack is a former sommelier at French Laundry and Per Se who now makes his own wines.
The dinner is at 7 p.m. Oct. 1 in the store’s parking lot. Cost: $40. Reservations are required.
