Raleigh’s Joule restaurant, the coffee shop and lunch spot among chef Ashley Christensen’s restaurant group, is going to start offering themed, family-style dinners.

The meals will be the second, third and fourth Thursdays and Fridays of the month; customers will be able to choose to dine at either 6 p.m. or 8 p.m.

The first round will be “Red Sauce Suppers” on Jan. 14, 15, 21, 22, 28 and 29. The cost is $29 per person. The menu includes Caesar salad, meatballs and sausage in a red sauce, butternut squash and mushroom lasagna, wilted greens and toasted garlic and garlic bread.

Kaitlyn Goalen, director of marketing for AC Restaurants, said the dinners are a chance to spotlight what Joule chef Sunny Gerhart can do beyond the regular menu. Other upcoming themes, Goalen said, include tacos, French Canadian/Montreal and New Orleans.
