Durham’s Piedmont restaurant is launching seasonal North Carolina seafood dinners.
The first one will be March 1, when Piedmont’s executive chef Greg Gettles will partner with chef Ricky Moore of Durham’s Saltbox Seafood. The meal will feature black bass, snapper, triggerfish, flounder and possibly swordfish and tuna and oysters.
The series will showcase the diversity and seasonality of fish and shellfish from the North Carolina coast. Raleigh’s Locals Seafood will supply the seafood.
The six-course meal costs $65, with wine pairings available for an additional $20. Call 919-683-1213 for reservations. A percentage of every ticket will fund North Carolina Catch, a partnership of local catch groups along the coast.
