Popular Triangle donut and biscuit shop Rise has set opening dates for their two newest locations.
On Feb. 27, Rise Carrboro will open its doors at 7 a.m., while Rise Downtown Durham with open at the same time on March 12.
Both locations represent a continued expansion for the franchise; the Carrboro location, on East Main Street next to Fleet Feet Sports, and the Durham location, at 401 Foster St. in the old Daisycakes space near the Durham Farmers Market, will be the fifth and sixth shops respectively.
Rise has partnered with franchise development firm Fransmart, the company behind Five Guys Burgers and Fries and Qdoba. According to a press release, Rise will open its seventh location in the Brier Creek Shopping Center in May, and plans are underway for three locations in Charlotte and one in Dallas, Texas. Contracts are in place for 22 additional franchise and three corporate owned locations across the United States in the coming years.

Meanwhile in Carrboro, Rise plans to donate 10 percent of its opening day sales to the Carrboro Elementary School. They will also be hosting a “soft-opening” on Feb. 23 from noon to 2 p.m., where the public is invited to preview the new location and sample free donuts.
