Two Triangle cookbook authors have books that are finalists for the annual awards by the International Association of Culinary Professionals.

Chapel Hill author Nancie McDermott’s book, “Southern Soups & Stews,” is a finalist in the American category. Durham business owner Sara Foster’s book, “Foster’s Market Favorites,” is a finalist for the photography category. The book’s photographer is Peter Frank Edwards, and the food stylist is Marian Cairns.

The winners will be announced at the IACP conference in Los Angeles on April 1-3.
