SEEDS, the Durham community garden, is hosting its annual Pie Social from 1-5 p.m. May 21.
You may have seen the SEEDS’ DIG garden crew at the Durham Farmers’ Market where they sell vegetables each week. DIG, which stands for Durham Inner-City Gardeners, is one of SEEDS’ main programs; it is a urban farming and leadership development program for youths.
This year’s pie social will feature multiple pie walks, face painting and other games while attendees also enjoy an array of donated pies.
You can buy $2.50 tickets for a slice of pie, an all-you-can-eat ticket for $20 or an early bird all-you- can-eat ticket for $15. Purchase tickets at seedsnc.org/pie-social/
