A pop-up dinner to raise money for Wake County homeless outreach

A pop-up dinner set for June 4 will raise money for the Raleigh/Wake Partnership to End and Prevent Homelessness.

The dinner is being hosted by Sejal Patel, a Raleigh resident who some folks may recognize because he appeared on The Rachael Ray Show earlier this year. Patel, an avid Carolina Panthers fan, competed against other football fans in a cooking contest to win Superbowl tickets. Patel’s chicken tikka with cilantro mint chutney did not win but he bought his own tickets to the Superbowl.

The event called “The Taste Buds: A Pop Up Dinner Experience” is 6-9 p.m. June 4 at an undisclosed location. Hints on the menu and location will be posted online.

Tickets cost $75 per person. Info:

The partnership is the integrated efforts of Raleigh and Wake County governments to address the need to end and prevent homelessness. Its efforts include Project Homelessness Connect, The Oak City Outreach Center and The Wake County Homeless Resource Guide.
