Pinehurst Resort is hosting food and wine weekends. The next one, Flavors of Spain, will be Aug. 26-28.

The weekend will feature Spanish cuisine, including Valencia paella, seafood and chorizo. The wine varietals that guests will taste include Albariño, which produces refreshing white wines; Garnacha, a red grape of Catalonia; and Tempranillo from the celebrated Rioja region.

The cost range from $399-$519 per person, based on double occupancy for a two-night package. Single occupancy costs range from $579-$819.

The schedule includes a Friday night reception, Saturday morning breakfast in the Carolina Dining Room followed by a historic walking tour, a 2 p.m. culinary demonstration and a 7 p.m. wine dinner in the Carolina Dining Room and a Sunday breakfast.
