One of my best dining experiences in 2016 was the chicken pastry dinner at Banner Chapel Advent Christian Church in Benson.
It was everything you want in a church supper: well executed Southern food, a large array of desserts and an auction with an actual auctioneer. (Plates of cookies and cakes went for hundreds of dollars!)
As part of our twice-annual public service for church supper fans, we’re asking congregations to submit their events for publication. So if you invite the public to dine with you between Aug. 31 and Feb. 26, your event should be on this list. The deadline to submit an event is midnight Aug. 21.
Here’s what to do: Go to events.triangle.com (no www). Register or log in to the website. Click on “Add Event” (green square, upper right side). Fill out the form. Choose “Food/Tasting” as the genre. If the venue where your event is being held is not in the system, you’ll have to add it. Follow the prompts.

Each listing should include the name of the event, short menu, if dine-in and/or takeout is available, if delivery is available and how to place such orders, price for adults and children, time and date, address, phone number and website. To be considered for inclusion, entries must include all requested information.
