Nancy Silverton among chefs cooking for No Kid Hungry dinner in Raleigh

Raleigh chef Ashley Christensen is attracting some high-profile chefs for her sixth annual Raleigh No Kid Hungry Dinner on Sept. 18.

Christensen will be joined in the kitchen by a stellar lineup of chefs: Jamie Bissonnette of Toro and Coppa in New York and Boston; Michael Fojtasek of Olamaie in Austin; Joe Kindred of Kindred in Davidson, N.C.; Nancy Silverton of Osteria Mozza and Pizzeria Mozza in Los Angeles; and Hillary Sterling of Vic’s in New York.

The multicourse dinner starts with a cocktail reception at 6 p.m. with dinner served at 7 p.m. The evening also includes a live auction where guests can bid on luxury culinary and travel items.

Tickets start at $200 per person. Proceeds benefit No Kid Hungry, a nonprofit working to end childhood hunger across the country.

The event will be at Christensen’s flagship restaurant, Poole’s Downtown Diner, 426 S. McDowell St., Raleigh.
