Barbara Brantley Pulley, 77, went home to be with the LORD early Sunday morning surrounded by her family. She was born in Nash County, a daughter of the late Joseph Randolph and Bertha Massey Brantley.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her infant children, Lowell Ray Pulley, Jr., Joseph Alexander Pulley and Barbara Kaye Pulley; brother, Randy Brantley and wife, Shirley; brothers-in-law, Wayne Manning and Charles Pulley.
Mrs. Pulley worked with the NC Department of Social Services and retired from Wake County Public Schools as a teacher’s assistant.
Funeral service will be held 3:00 p.m. Wednesday at Zebulon United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in Zebulon Cemetery.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 57 years, Lowell R. Pulley; daughter and son-in-law, Gina Pulley Bryant and Milton; and the love of her heart her grandson, Joseph Bryant all of Zebulon; sisters, Josie Driver (Glenn) of Middlesex, Kaye Tant (Elton) of Zebulon and Vicki Manning of Spring Hope; brother-in-law, Robert Pulley (Kay) of Zebulon; sister-in-law, Tracy Pulley of Salter Path; beloved numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Wednesday 1:45 til 2:45 p.m. prior to the service in the Wesley Fellowship classroom and other times at the home.
