Iona Elizabeth Graham Walker, wife of the late Joseph "Jake" Compton Walker, peacefully passed away at the Glenaire Retirement Community of Cary on Saturday, June 13, 2015.
Mrs. Walker was born in Conway, SC - the daughter of the late Albert Doty Graham and Adyne Chestnut Graham. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by three brothers and four sisters.
Surviving are son, Joseph Graham Walker and his wife Angela of Chapel Hill, NC; a sister, Charlotte Shillinglaw of Rock Hill, SC; a special niece, Suzanne May and her children Alex and Madeline of Tega Cay, SC; a nephew, Richard Lloyd and his wife Linda of Hillsborough, NC; great nephew Danny Lloyd and wife Traci of Mebane, NC; niece Donna Hall and her husband Leon, and great nephews Luke and Dylan of Caldwell, NC; as well as many other loved Family members.
Iona will be remembered for her love of Family, Friends, and Church, as well as her love of flowers and cake baking.

Sincere gratitude to so many at Glenaire for their patience and loving care of Mrs. Walker, as well as Hospice of Wake County.
Visitation with Family will be on Tuesday, June 16 at 1:00 pm at Hayes Barton Baptist Church of Raleigh, with a Memorial Service beginning at 2:00 pm. Burial will be private.
