James Allen Langley, 71, passed away Thursday, June 11, 2015 at Wake Med. He was born July 5, 1943 in Chatham County to the late Barbara Allen Dorsett Langley and Glenn Langley. He served his country in the US Navy and retired with 37 years of service with CP&L/Progress Energy as a line and service tech.
Funeral service 11:00 am, Monday, June 15, 2015 at L. Harold Poole Funeral Service Chapel, 944 Old Knight Rd., Knightdale, 27545. Burial will follow at Gethsemane Memorial Gardens with a Masonic Service and Military Honors.
The family will receive relatives and friends 6:00 to 8:00 pm, Sunday, June 14, 2015 at the funeral home and other times at the home.
Surviving: wife Elma Glover Langley; son, Jamey Snipes (Shannon) of Smithfield; step-son, David Glover (Lisa) of Zebulon; grandchildren: Jaymie and Candyce Glover, Kayla and Gracie Snipes; father, Glenn Langley (Helen) of Siler City; brother: Robert Langley of Douglasville, GA, half-brother, Shannon Langley of Raleigh; half-sister, Debbie Core of Siler City.
