Marion Dunfee Harrington of Raleigh, formerly of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, died on June 17, 2015 at Transitions LifeCare after a long struggle with Parkinson’s disease.
Marion was born March 11, 1932 in Scranton, Pennsylvania. She attended schools in Clark Summit and Marywood Seminary. After graduation, she moved to New York for 7 years and then relocated to Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. She was a volunteer at St. Luke’s Hospital, and a member of Women’s Club and Tuesday Club. She also was president of the Bethlehem Garden Club. She and her husband moved to Raleigh, North Carolina in 1986. She was a member of the Raleigh Garden Club. Marion found joy in becoming a potter, as well as playing golf and tennis.
Marion is survived by her husband, James; sons, James of Wendell, North Carolina, Neal of Raleigh, North Carolina; daughter, Wendy of Manteca, California; sister, Lois Robinson of Alexandria, Virginia; and grandchildren, Katy, James, Emma and Nick.
