Kevin Glenn Crowley, 51, went to be with the Lord on Monday, June 15, 2015. He was born on January 23, 1964 in Washington, DC to the late Theodore James Crowley and Jacquelyn Ann Crowley, and was preceded in death by an infant brother: James Peter Crowley.
Kevin grew up in Falls Church, Va, and was a 1982 graduate of George Mason High School and received a Bachelors degree in 1986 from James Madison University. He began his career in the field of accountancy in Richmond, Va, and worked as a Certified Public Accountant for twenty nine years for various organizations in Virginia and North Carolina. He met and married Mary Stuart Alexander on May 8,1993 and together they were blessed with three beautiful daughters. The Crowley family relocated to Apex, North Carolina in 2005 where Kevin continued his career as a CPA in the utility industry.
Kevin will be remembered as a devoted and loving husband and father, and a caring man to his mother and brothers. Kevin’s early years were spent enjoying sports of all kinds with friends and family, with strong passions for baseball and basketball. During his high school years he lettered and captained both the baseball and basketball teams and served as student body president. In his college years Kevin found his purpose in the Lord and was very active in the Navigators organization at James Madison University and as a young adult.
He loved coaching his daughter’s sports teams in Richmond and in Apex and had a true servant’s heart. His sense of humor was legendary, and all who knew him well remember his uncanny ability to do impressions. He was a friend to all and stranger to none.
Kevin and Mary Stuart were members of Ambassador Presbyterian Church and very active with Salem Baptist Church with their daughters.
He is lovingly remembered by his wife, Mary Stuart Crowley; daughters: Caroline Alexander Crowley, Sarah Elizabeth Crowley and Allison Meredith Crowley, all of Apex, by his brothers, James Crowley and wife and Susan Crowley, of Farnham, VA and Craig Crowley and wife Elizabeth Pangburn, of Vienna, VA; by sister and brother-in-law Melissa and Marc Montalbine, beloved nieces, Mary Katherin and Elizabeth, and by other dear family and friends.
A Celebration of Kevin’s life will be held on Saturday, June 20th at 11 AM at Salem Baptist Church in Apex. Family will receive friends following the service.
