Entrepreneurial support group CED announced Thurday that it has raised $800,000 during the quiet phase of its three-year fundraising campaign.
The group has a goal of raising $2 million for its “OnTheRise” campaign, which launched in January.
The funds will be used to build out CED’s marketing, public relations, investor relations and data collection offerings. The group is shifting its focus to offer more resources to growth-stage companies.
Among the donors who have already given money are Moise Khayrallah, CEO and co-founder of Aerial BioPharma, who donated $200,00; Capitol Broadcasting/American Underground, which donated $150,000; and $250,000 from NC IDEA, a gift that was announced in January.
