Durham’s West Village sells for $187 million

The West Village, a mix of apartments and commercial space in downtown Durham, has sold for $187 million.

An affiliate of The Connor Group acquired the property from Federal Capital Partners, according to property records.

West Village includes 609 apartments and 104,000 square feet of commercial space.

FCP acquired the first phase of West Village in 2011, and took a controlling interest in the project's second phase the following year. The company completed the project’s third phase in 2014, adding 156 luxury apartments.

West Village was developed by a partnership that was led by former Duke University basketball stars Christian Laettner and Brian Davis and Tom Niemann, a Duke business school graduate.
