Steve Wozniak, the renowned personal computer pioneer and co-founder of Apple, has been named Innovator in Residence at High Point University.
“Woz,” as he is known, will come to the campus each year but also will be available digitally to answer student questions and “provide insight on projects, business ideas and more,” according to the university.
Wozniak was High Point University’s commencement speaker in 2013. At that time he also visited with computer science majors and participated in a discussion with the university’s president, Nido Qubein, that was broadcast on North Carolina public television.
“I talk about HPU everywhere I go,” Wozniak said in a statement.
