SavingStar.com has released its new weekly coupon on produce -- this week on plums.
The new offer will save you 20 percent on plums purchased through Monday, Aug. 25, at participating stores.
The discount is valid on up to $10 worth of loose unwrapped plums that you weigh at check out.
Buy $5 worth, for instance, and you’ll receive a $1 credit. Match that with a good sale and you’ll have a seriously good deal.

If you’re not familiar with SavingStar, I highly recommend signing up at SavingStar.com, which allows you to save money at up to 12 different stores in the Triangle. It takes only a few minutes to register your store loyalty card numbers. Once you’ve done that, it only takes a few seconds each week to select the offers you wish to use.
At the store register, SavingStar coupons are NOT automatically deducted from your grocery order. Instead, the savings accrue in your SavingStar account. Once you've saved at least $5, you select how you want to be paid.
In the Triangle, seven stores allow you to redeem offers through your store loyalty card: CVS, Food Lion, Harris Teeter, Kroger, Lowes Food, Rite Aid and Just Save. Five others require you to upload store receipts: Walgreens, Target, Walmart, Family Dollar and Dollar General.
