Harris Teeter has got a weekend-only special on milk for E-Vic customers.

Milk will be $2.97 per gallon, which is a great deal in and of itself. But you can shave another $1.25 off the price with two additional promotions.

The $2.97 price is good Saturday and Sunday with a limit of two and you must be signed up for E-Vic specials to get the deal.

How do you do that? Go to HarrisTeeter.com and sign up for twice-weekly emails that give you access to special savings -- such as the milk deal -- and digital coupons.

Shave another $1 off the price when you buy two participating boxes of General Mills cereals, including Cheerios, Honey Nut Cheerios, Fiber One and several others.

The cereal is $2.50 per box, but there are several coupons available to reduce your price to $1 to $1.50 per box. Here are a few:

.75/1 Fiber One, 9/14 SS

$1/2 Cheerios, 8/24 SS

$1/2 General Mills, 9/21 SS

.50/1 Honey Nut Cheerios printable coupon on N&O’s Find N Save

.50/1 Honey Nut Cheerios SavingStar.com credit

Then shave an additional 25 cents off the price of your milk by taking advantage of the rebate available on the grocery rebate app Ibotta.

That would bring your price for a gallon of milk down to $1.72.
