Aldi stores in the Triangle have great deals this week on blackberries, raspberries and strawberries, along with good prices on tangerines and grapefruit. And, if your live near Garner, you might want to stop in the new Aldi on Timber Drive, which opens Thursday.
Grand opening of Garner store: Aldi opens a new store in Garner on Thursday, Jan. 22, at 750 Timber Drive. The first 100 customers will receive “golden tickets” for a chance to win gift certificates of varying amounts, including a $100 gift certificate. The first 1,000 shoppers will receive a free Aldi shopping bag. There will be free samples and a drawing to win free produce for a year.
$5/$30 coupon: Aldi does not generally accept coupons but oftentimes issues its own coupon to celebrate the opening of a new store. If you live near the new store, check your Wednesday N&O for an Aldi circular. The circular zoned for that area contains a coupon for $5 off a $30 purchase at the Garner location. It’s valid through Jan. 27.
