Cary has one of the best real-estate markets in the country, according to a new ranking.
Using 21 metrics from median home price appreciation to home sales turnover and job growth, personal finance website WalletHub compared 300 cities across the United States. Cary came in at No. 4.
Half of the top 10 were Texas cities.
Cary was the only city on the East Coast to make the top 10.
The top 10, in order of best to worst were: Frisco, Texas; McKinney Texas; Allen, Texas; Cary; Richardson, Texas; Seattle; Bellevue, Wash.; Carrollton, Texas; Nashville; and Denver.
Fayetteville was mentioned in the report, with the lowest home price as a share of income at 124 percent. Santa Barbara, Calif., was the highest at 1,575 percent.
Raleigh came in at No. 44, one spot above Charlotte. Durham was No. 23, Wilmington No. 76, Greensboro No. 149, Winston-Salem No. 165, High Point No. 185 and Fayetteville No. 284.
