Each year, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce gives money to a small company that’s been judged on its business strategies and goals, customer service, community involvement, and staff training and motivation.
On the list of this year’s seven finalists for the $10,000 prize is Triangle Rock Club, a Morrisville-based indoor rock climbing facility with locations in Morrisville, North Raleigh and Fayetteville.
Other finalists include Charter School Business Management in New York City; Capannari Ice Cream in Mount Prospect, Ill.; Custom Alarm in Rochester, Minn.; Payette Brewing Co. in Garden City, Idaho; Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park in Glenwood Springs, Colo.; and Noble Studios in Reno, Nev.
The winner of the DREAM BIG Small Business of the Year Award will be announced Tuesday at The America’s Small Business Summit in Washington, D.C. For more small-business news, go to newsobserver.com/small-business.
