In other business before the Durham school board:
* LIVING WAGE: The board expanded its living wage ordinance to include contract workers and to force companies that contract with the district to provide health insurance benefits or pay an additional 7.5 percent in hourly pay.
* PARK PLANS: The board approved a joint use agreement that would let the city build a park using some of Githens Middle School's land. The schools would then get to share tennis courts and a championship-level soccer field, among other facilities, that the city would build.
