The Powerball jackpot has reached a new high of $365 million -- making it the largest in U.S. lottery history. A drawing tonight could produce a winner.

POWERBALL'S PREVIOUS RECORD: $340 million, won by an Oregon family in October.

WHERE TO PLAY: Powerball is played in South Carolina, Tennessee and 26 other states. It is also played in Washington, D.C., and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Ticket sales surged in South Carolina on Friday to $11,000 a minute, said John C.B. Smith, the South Carolina Education Lottery Commission's chairman.
