Attorneys for Derek Tice of Clayton say his confession to a rape and murder in Norfolk, Va., seven years ago doesn't match physical evidence from the crime scene. Tice says he was forced by detectives to make the statement.
* Tice said he pried open the woman's door with a claw hammer. There were no signs of forced entry.
* Tice said he raped and killed the woman in the living room. She was killed in her bedroom.
* Tice said six men took turns stabbing the woman while she stood. But the stab wounds were identical in depth and direction, evidence that one person stabbed her while she was prone.

* Tice said he ejaculated. But only semen from Omar Ballard, one of the convicted men, was found in the apartment.
