But when we asked folks in the Triangle about what being a fan means to them, the reasons for it didn't seem so crazy at all. "A way to bond with family, friends and strangers alike" is how Alex Copeland of Raleigh describes her love of the Canes. This is a woman who will drive 2,500 miles to see her team play.
