Stratland Town and Country Developers of New Jersey wants to build 2,200 homes on the Covered Bridge Road farm. Clayton's planning board voted unanimously Monday to recommend rezoning for the project. But the board asked developers to present a much more detailed plan when it goes before the Clayton Town Council for rezoning and annexation in February. The project would be built in phases over about 10 years.
