CHARLOTTE, N.C. – After being teased by spring-like temperatures, parts of North Carolina were forecast to head back to one more spate of winter weather.
The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for the mountains on the Tennessee border. Forecasters say there’s a chance of freezing rain, sleet and snow beginning Thursday morning.
East of the mountains, forecasters issued a hazardous weather outlook for periods of light wintry precipitation across northern portions of central North Carolina.
Rain is forecast for areas including Hickory and Charlotte.
