Friends and family of David Agamloh, an 18-year-old Holly Springs High School senior, are mourning him this week. Agamloh drowned Monday in Jordan Lake.
Kailyn “Slydde” Holtman, a friend of Agamloh, called him “sweet” and “genuine.” She remembered his collection of headphones — the big, chunky ones. “He had a thing for headphones. It was like he came to school with a different pair every day.”
She said he loved music, and he shared his songs on his Facebook page. “He wanted to make a career with his music,” she said.

Other friends and classmates shared their condolences on social media, including memories of him at school and the music he shared.
Wake County Public Schools spokeswoman Lisa Luten said the principal at Holly Springs High would not comment without permission from Agamloh’s family, and they have not given their blessing.
Luten said the school will work with the parents to decide whether to honor Agamloh at the graduation of Holly Springs’ senior class next month.
