A Raleigh wedding photographer’s post about her parents’ “true love” has garnered a lot of admiration on Facebook.
Amber Robinson, the photographer, said in a Facebook post on Nov. 30 that she didn’t often think about the days and years that follow a wedding day, probably the biggest day for her clients.
“I share with you what those years after can look like when true love exists,” Robinson wrote. And in a whimsical photoshoot, she captured it —with her own parents.
Robinson’s mom and dad have been married for 47 years, have beaten cancer twice, raised two daughters and have experienced poverty and wealth together, she said.
“They are the epitome of where I strive to be in my own marriage and a constant reminder that a wedding is only a day, but a marriage is forever,” she wrote.
Her parents, Wanda and Marvin, live in Raleigh, according to a story by Black Southern Belle, a lifestyle brand that featured the family in 2015.
Amber Robinson’s post was liked by more than 14,000 users and shared by almost 15,000 in its first five days.
Robinson lives in Garner with her husband, Carlos, and their four children, Alex, Jeremiah, Ivy and Avery, according to her photography website.
