Wake Forest police have located the car they think was involved in a hit-and-run on Sunday.
Police found the car, a white Mitsubishi with major front-end damage, at a residence on Shuford Road in Wake Forest, according to a news release Monday.
The vehicle is thought to be the one that hit a female pedestrian along Heritage Lake Road while she was running or walking, said Wake Forest police spokesperson Bill Crabtree.

She did not suffer any life-threatening injuries.
Officers responded to the accident at 4:22 p.m. Sunday near Primrose School at 844 Heritage Road.
Wake Forest police continue to search for the driver, who was described as a black male but whose identity isn’t known.
