WAKE FOREST

Wake Forest police have located the car they think was involved in a hit-and-run on Sunday.

Police found the car, a white Mitsubishi with major front-end damage, at a residence on Shuford Road in Wake Forest, according to a news release Monday.

The vehicle is thought to be the one that hit a female pedestrian along Heritage Lake Road while she was running or walking, said Wake Forest police spokesperson Bill Crabtree.
