Two teens accused of 3 armed robberies at Raleigh businesses

Two 16-year-olds are charged with three gunpoint robberies of businesses late Tuesday and early Wednesday.

Camron James Allen, who lives on Lunday Drive, was arrested Wednesday morning at a Popeye's Chicken restaurant, on Western Boulevard, that had been robbed a short time earlier.

Zion Selah Battle, who lives on Carolina Avenue, was arrested early Thursday at WakeMed Hospital on New Bern Avenue.

Police charged Allen and Battle with holding up the Popeye's and a nearby Han-DeeHugo's gas station about 12:45 a.m. Wednesday and a BP gas station on Wake Forest Road late Tuesday.

Police charged each of the youths with three counts of robbery with a dangerous weapon and three counts of conspiring to commit the robberies.

The charges said a 9 mm handgun was used.

Police said a total of $970 was taken in the three robberies.
