A 22-year-old man surrendered over the weekend on charges from Raleigh police that he promoted prostitution by a 17-year-old girl and a woman last year.
Jabari Nkosi Henderson was charged with human trafficking with a minor victim, human trafficking with an adult victim, promoting prostitution for profit, promoting prostitution of a minor, and holding a child in sexual servitude.
Police said in arrest warrants they obtained June 4 that Henderson lives on Ranburne Drive in Raleigh, but he told officials at the Wake County Detention Center that he lives on Concord Street in Durham.
Police were told about ongoing prostitution late last summer, spokeswoman Laura Hourigan said, and began an investigation. The woman and the girl did not have any known connection to each other, she said.

It was not clear if detectives were able to establish how long the girl and the woman were being used as prostitutes.
Both appeared to be from the area, Hourigan said.
Henderson was held in lieu of $150,000 bail pending a court appearance.
