Man stabbed in downtown Raleigh taken to WakeMed with serious injuries, police say

Police are investigating a stabbing early Thursday morning near the Red Hat Amphitheater in downtown Raleigh.

Police were called to the intersection of West Lenoir and South Dawson streets shortly before 2:30 a.m. They found Antrell Timal Tripp, 34, who had been stabbed, a Police Department news release says.

Tripp was taken to WakeMed with serious injuries, police say.
