Two Raleigh men face criminal charges after Garner police found a man fatally shot inside a taxi on Poole Drive early Thursday.

Officers identified the 36-year-old man as Elhadji Mansour Seck of Raleigh.

Police were called to a wreck when they found the dead man at 4:50 a.m. Poole Drive sits off Aversboro Road near South Garner Park.

Javonta Lakeith Williams, 25, is charged with first-degree murder in connection with the case, according to an arrest warrant.

He and Quinn Louis Giles, 28, also are charged with attempted robbery with a dangerous weapon and conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon, Wake County court records show. The men were arrested Wednesday.

Police say the men tried stealing $100 from Seck.

It is the second homicide Garner police have investigated in 2019.

Both Williams and Giles were expected to appear in court Wednesday.
