Faith Notes: Aug. 19

Crusade near Smithfield

The first “Whosoever Will Crusade” is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 29, at the Johnston County Livestock Arena, 520 County Home Road, Smithfield. Programs, services

Howell Chapel Church will hold a worship service at 9 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 23, at Community Park, 600 Booker Dairy Road, Smithfield. Food and activities will follow the service.

Revival services are scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Aug. 19-21 at Mount Vernon Christian Church, 301 N. Lombard St., Clayton. Workshops starting at 6:30 p.m. will cover such topics as police accountability, prostate cancer and domestic violence.

A Youth Day service is scheduled for 11 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 16, at Warren’s Chapel Original Free Will Baptist Church, 5270 U.S. 301 North, Micro. Tevin Boykin of Union Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Fremont will speak, and the youth choir from Union View Church in Bailey will sing. The church will hand out school supplies.

A homecoming service is scheduled for 10 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 23, at First Missionary Baptist Church, 500 S. Pollock St., Selma. Melissa Wade will speak. For more information, call the church at 919-965-7209.

The Voice of Praise choir will celebrate its anniversary at 4 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 23, at Bentonville Disciples of Christ Church, 8566 Devil’s Racetrack Road, Four Oaks.

Women’s Day is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 23, at Galilee Missionary Baptist Church, 2017 Galilee Road, Smithfield. The theme is “Women on the Move for Christ.” The Rev. Barbara Davis will speak.
