Faith Notes: Dec. 20

A kid-friendly Christmas Eve service is scheduled from 8 to 8:45 p.m. Dec. 24 at Clayton Community Church, 5586 Covered Bridge Road, Clayton. For more information, click on the “Christmas Eve” tab at claytoncommunitychurch.org.

Revival services are scheduled for 7 p.m. Dec. 30 and 9 p.m. Dec. 31 at Mt. Calvary Holiness Church of Deliverance, 114 Lakeview Drive, Four Oaks. Pastor Danta Covington will speak.

The adult choir of Pisgah Baptist Church will present “Christmas in His Presence,” a cantata, at 6 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 20, at the church, 3689 N.C. 210, Smithfield.

The youth group of Believers Baptist Church will present a Christmas drama at 6 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 20, at the church, 100 Southerland Road, Clayton. A candlelight service is scheduled for 7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 23.

The Brotherhood of New Zealand Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church is selling Boston butts for $25. They will be cooked and available for pickup between 3 and 6 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 23, at the church. For more information, call 919-291-3899 or 252-885-2734.

Faith Baptist Church, located at 204 Ricks Road in Selma, will hold its Christmas cantata and children’s program at 11 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 20, at the church. Admission is free.

The pastor’s of Stones Creek Advent Christian Church will present his annual Christmas story at 11 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 20, at the church, 343 Woods Crossroads Road, Benson. The children of Stones Creek will present the play “A Tree Lot Christmas” at 6 p.m. Dec. 20. Refreshments will follow.

Here is the schedule of remaining Christmas services at Horne Memorial United Methodist Church, 121 E. Second St., Clayton: choir’s Christmas cantata, 8:30 and 11 a.m. Dec. 20 in the sanctuary; and Christmas Eve services, 4 p.m. in the fellowship hall for children, 6 p.m. traditional service in the sanctuary and 8 p.m. traditional service with Communion, also in the sanctuary. On Sunday, Dec. 27, the church will hold a contemporary worship service at 9:45 a.m. in the fellowship hall and a traditional worship service at 11 a.m. in the sanctuary. A performance of the play “Felix Finds Christmas” is scheduled for 6 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 20, at Burnell Baptist Church, 3720 Old School Road, Four Oaks.

This month, Prevailing Word Church International is offering prayers and gifts for teachers. The church, which worships at 11 a.m. Sundays, is at 108 Professional Court, Garner.
