Faith Notes: May 29

A rummage sale is scheduled from 7:30 a.m. to noon Saturday, June 11, at St. Ann Catholic Church, 4057 U.S. 70 Business West between Smithfield and Clayton. The sale will feature a variety of items. Fill a bag with clothes for $4.

Vacation Bible School is scheduled from 7 to 9 p.m. June 13-16 at Holy Temple Bible Church of God, 228 Montgomery Heights Road, Selma.

The fifth annual Community Fun Day is scheduled from 1 to 6 p.m. Saturday, June 4, at Sardis Baptist Church, 5444 Brogden Road, Smithfield. The free event will offer food, a bounce house, a dunking booth and music by the following: The Redeemed of Kenly, Caleb’s Crossing of Yadkinville, Full Reliance of Raleigh and the Dixie Travelers of Clinton.

A yard sale is scheduled from 7 a.m. to noon Saturday, June 4, at Progressive Presbyterian Church, 3790 Progressive Church Road, Princeton. Breakfast will be available.

Here’s the lineup for Super Sunday Nights, a concert series at Piney Grove Chapel Church, 4440 Piney Grove Road, Angier: Eric Ollis, June 5; The Social Security Boys, June 12; The Dixie Melody Boys, June 26; Hickory Grove Quartet, July 10; Redeemed, July 18; Jordan Bridge, July 24; The Churchmen, July 31; Full Reliane, Aug. 7; Tate & Marthieah, Aug. 14; The Glorymen, Aug. 21; and Mercy’s Cross, Aug. 28. Plates of barbecued pork will be on sale from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, June 4, at Lanwood Chapel Church, 3056 Buffalo Road, Smithfield. The cost is $8 per plate and includes barbecue, boiled potatoes, slaw, hush puppies and desert. For local delivery of five or more plates, call 910-985-2154.

A yard sale is scheduled from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, June 4, at Believers Baptist Church, 100 Southerland Road, Clayton.

Living Waters will sing at 6 p.m. Sunday, May 29, at Progressive Presbyterian Church, 3790 Progressive Church Road, Princeton.

Vacation Bible School for all ages is scheduled from 6:15 to 8:30 p.m. June 26-30 at Burnell Baptist Church, 3720 Old School Road, Four Oaks. Dinner will be at 5:30 nightly. For more information, call the Rev. Jessie Brock at 919-894-1418.

Living by Faith, a gospel music group, will sing at 6 p.m. Sunday, May 29, at New Zealand Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church, 5312 Meadowbrook Road in the Meadow community.

Glory Bound Way will sing at 6 p.m. Sunday, May 29, at Burnell Baptist Church, 3720 Old School Road, Four Oaks. Admission is free; the church will collect an offering for the group.

Vacation Bible School is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. July 26-29 at Greater Vision Worship Center, 720 Second Ave., Smithfield. The sports-themed camp will offer basketball, soccer and cheerleader training, plus classes for adults. The church will serve food daily.
