Fun for furry friends

The Dog Days of June will be from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, June 2, at Fred G. Bond Metro Park, Field No. 4, Cary. The day will be filled with family fun for both humans and dogs.

• A Skyhoundz Canine Frisbee Disc Competition will begin at 10 a.m. Registration will be at 9:30 a.m. The event will be a distance and accuracy competition. All dogs are invited to compete. For details, call 919-469-4100.



• Members of the Cary Teen Council will hold a dog wash. Bring your own towel. Fees are $5 for small dogs, 1-15 pounds; $7 for medium dogs, 16-35 pounds; and $10 for large dogs, 36 pounds and larger. For information, call 919-460-4965.



• Rabies vaccines and microchipping clinics will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. All pets must be on a leash or in a kennel. Cats are welcome. Fees are $10 for microchips and $5 for the rabies vaccine. For details, call Cary Animal Control at 919-319-4517.
